Merck employees will be trained under the program Energy University

Program Energy University, developed by Schneider Electric, has been selected by the pharmaceutical company Merck to enhance the skills of its employees around the world in the field of energy efficiency, announced by Schneider Electric.

“Energy University is a free online education program, including more than 350 courses that provide information and guidance to improve energy efficiency within an organization without bound students with the products of a particular company.

Merck first will use Energy University as an internal tool for training their teams of Global Energy Network to improve the supply and consumption (GENIUS). The aim is trained to make the right decisions in the field of energy efficiency. Online courses can help the 70,000 employees of Merck realize over 30% energy savings in their buildings and facilities.

“Energy University provides the necessary tools to support companies of any industry in their efforts to effectively increase knowledge and skills of employees in terms of sustainable development. This will not only benefit the environment but is key to the success of business,” said David Reid, Director Energy Services, Buildings Business of Schneider Electric.
